How Jyoti and Thrive connect

Shared work at the intersection of trauma prevention and lasting change.

After the 2015 earthquakes, Thrive founder Chris Floro and current President Katharine Floro traveled to Nepal to assist with disaster relief. There they met Pastor Rajan Sunar—and a friendship grew into years of partnership.

That connection now brings together two complementary commitments: preventing trauma and supporting recovery for people vulnerable to human trafficking, while investing in the education and economic stability that help communities flourish over time.

Thrive has sponsored Jyoti since its founding in 2021 and continues to help connect supporters in the United States with this locally led work.
